When I was very young, after I just started learning English, there was the first question I asked when I met a foreigner. It\'s \"How old are you?\" \" It was that. At that time, I didn\'t know that question is rude. But now that I think about it, when I first met someone, I said, \"How old are you? \" Or are you married?\" I think it would be better to avoid the same question. And as soon as you meet someone, \"Are you in a bad mood?\" I think it would be better to avoid the same negative questions. May God bless you. Have a blessed day! God loves you!

Hi, Elizabeth.
I agree with you. Asking about age and other personal questions to a person you just met can be offensive sometimes. So I think, it is better to ask about interests and hobbies during this stage.
