The most special holiday in my country are the Hangul Proclamation Day and Chuseok. First, Hangul day is on October nine, this is the day that the King Sejong of the Joseon period made the hangul for a citizen that is hard at using Chinese characters and helped communicate more easily. Second, Chuseok is Korean thanksgiving day on August 15, in that day family relatives gather together and make some songpyeon a rice cake and put it on the table of ancestral rites table.

Hi Risa,
Holiday traditions are an important part of building a strong bond between family, and our community. They give us a sense of belonging and a way to express what is important to us. They connect us to our history and help us celebrate generations of family.  Seollal (Lunar New Year\'s Day) and Chuseok (Korean Thanksgiving Day) are the most important traditional holidays for Koreans, so millions of people visit their hometown to celebrate with their families. ~ Teacher QUENNY..:)
