What are the advantages and/or disadvantages of reducing the working week to thirty hours?

Unemployment rate has been gradually increased in Korea, especially the youth emoloyment rate is very high. Most young people want to work at company, but it hesitates to hire them. I think that this is a big problem. If government made a legislation that companies reduce the working time of their employees by thirty hours, what would happen? There must be pros and cons. As to the advantages, companies should hire more employees, which makes unemoloyment rate lower. In addition, because of short working time, employees could use the time developing their skills or relaxing. On the other hand, as for the disadvantages, it costs so much to hire many employees; therefore, companies might be bankrupt or would rise their product's prices to make up their losses in cost. Besides, welfare companies provide would be reduced because of shortage of money. I believe that unemployment problem is picky to solve. Nevertheless, government should try to relive this problem.
