What are the benefits of having just a few close friends ? How about the benefits of having many fri

I don\'t think I did it for any particular purpose when I made friends. However, from my work life, I sometimes intentionally approached specific persons for promotion or good positions, but I don\'t think that the persons are my true friends. In my case. I have made many friends in my life. I\'ve been interacting with my hometown friends, college friends, military rotc(reserved officer\'s training corps) classmates, and co-workers and I get along well with most of them, having periodic meetings. And three or four friends in each group are really close, so when I have difficulties, I ask them for advice, and on the contrary, if they need help, I\'ve been willing to respond to it. So, in conclusion, I didn\'t make a lot of friends or choose only a small number of friends intentionally. While in school and at work, I made many friends naturally and I only got closer to a few of them in particular.
