What can poetry teach us about life?

I usually enjoy reading a book, but I do not like reading and appreciating poetry. I think that the reason is because I faced poetry not as a literature but what I have to study. Actually, I have learned about poetry when I was in middle and high school, but during my school period, I often did not appreciate poetry, and I had to study it to get high score. Therefore, I do not have good memory of poetry and know it well. While reading poetry, the most difficult aspect is that I do not know and interpret the hidden message of that poetry; thus, poetry is always inaccessible. Nevertheless, I also think that poetry has some good aspects. The first one is the atmosphere. Unless I do not study poetry for test, I can feel comportable while reading it. I believe that it is due to sweet, tender language used in poetry. The second one is lesson of poetry. Even though I often cannot recognize the hidden message of poetry, but I am certain that it tries to give us its lesson by using a word.
