When I think of the UK, it automatically reminds me of its golden times when it has dominated and occupied almost a half of the glove for quite a long time. The phrase that the empire on which the sun never sets is still used to describe the British Empire. In the 19th and early 20th centuries, the British Empire reached a territorial size larger than that of any other empire in history. Many countries have been colonized by the British Empire and their cultures, laws, science, philosophy, education, and way of life have been affected by it.The UK is the country that still maintains constitutional monarchy, having a king, although he/she doesn’t hold or exercise a real power to govern and control the nation. The English are portrayed as intelligent, gentle, graceful, but stubborn.Its weather is notorious for being gloomy, foggy, and smoggy. British people try hard to preserve its tradition and are proud of its history. The British accent is somewhat interesting and sounds fascinating.
