There’s two main reasons that I’m late for an appointment. One is a failure to wake up on time, and the other is I have trouble with directions if the place is unfamiliar to me.

These are legitimate reasons and can be excused as you arrrive late for an appointment. However, not knowing directions can be alleviated nowadays. Nonetheless, being earlly or arriving on time saves us from discomforts and worries.
