What did you learn from your parents about parenting?

My parents have not pushed me to study hard. They have just watched silently what I was doing. They always trusted me. As most typical Korean parents do, – they are not used to expressing their feeling verbally - they have never said to me “I love you”, however, I could feel how much they loved me from the way they treated me. They have worked so hard and sacrificed their lives for their children. They behaved nicely to neighbors and got respect from them. They have never showed their disappointment even if I failed. They have never hit me under any circumstances and treated me with respect. They were not rich, but they were never poor in their mind. They set a good example for their children. No one is perfect, but I look up to my parents because they were modeling the right behavior for me.
