What do people think of men or women crying?

Crying is a natural emotional response to certain feelings, usually sadness and hurt. People, regardless of gender, can cry when he/she gets emotional like when he/she is sad or even too happy. However, we often feel shame when we disclose our emotions in front of people. We were somewhat taught and raised to refrain ourselves from exposing our feelings. Especially men should be strong all the time and not cry, no matter how hard situation it is. It is still viewed by many as a sign of weakness. Women tend to cry more than men do, most experts concur. Women have more permission to cry. Crying too often can make people uncomfortable, but never crying may not be mentally healthy. For various reasons, a lot of people push down their tears. They suppress them. One of the consequences is that we sort of deaden ourselves, to suppress or not even notice we have those feelings inside. The way that looks to the outside world is depression. Good cry is sometimes necessary.
