I enjoy traveling the most. I try to visit new places every weekend. After finishing high school, I mostly spent my time in a foreign country. Accordingly, I barely had an opportunity to sightsee Korea. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, there were many restrictions. However. I try hard to navigate new places. I enjoy wandering in the streets, trying local cuisines, and experiencing traditions in ancient relics. Even as a native Korean, absorbing the atmosphere in each city allows me to gain new lessons and perspectives in my life. The most inspiring experience was when I visited Jeju island situated at the end of the Korean peninsula. In Jeju, there are female divers who call “Haenyeo.” These people depend their livelihood on collecting marine products with only free-diving equipment. There were even people in their 80’s dives for their income. I could learn independent spirit and determination from them.
