Trains tend to offer travelers a great deal of flexibility. If you missed the 10 a.m. train, just catch the 11 a.m. train instead. Compared with an airplane, you don’t need to arrive at the station two hours early, wait in a long security line, or ration out your liquids. Trains offer a great way to see the country’s spectacular scenery along the route. In addition, you can have time to reflect about your life with committing yourself to the train.
