What festivals does your country have?

Vietnam has many festivals in a year such as Mid-Autumn Festival, Hung King Temple Festival, Buddha’s Birthday,... When it comes to a special occasion the first I think of is the Tet holiday. In Vietnam, Tet holiday is the biggest annual celebration on the first day of the lunar new year. The festival often takes place in early February when spring is already halfway. It often takes us nearly a month to prepare for this, but in the end, we can welcome and celebrate the New year with great joy, expecting better things to be on its way. Tet holiday is a perfect period of time for everyone to reunite and celebrate together. My favorite part of this festival is the lucky money part when adults give us small red envelopes for good luck.
