In writing essays, you can shorten the sentences by removing unnecessary words as long as the idea or the thought is still there.

The reason is because I wrote my own autobiography for a year and I\'ve proofread quite a lot.

I\'ve learned that to write a really good biography, you don\'t really have to be a good writer, but be true to yourself and value yourself.
