What is are differences between education in Korea and education abroad?

Korea education and education abroad can be seen very similer but I think there are a lot of difference.
First, I don\'t know the reason but in Korea, a lot of students just memorizing something and they don\'t understand it.
There are some schools that think understanding is important and some schools don\'t.
But I can\'t understand some schools that think memorizing is important because I think understanding is more important than it.
And actually, a lot of academies taught students just memorize somethings.
Second, I can\'t understand it but we learn same things if our age is same as the others.
I think we have to learn different things if each has different abilities but Korea don\'t let us do it.
I think those things are different with education abroad and I think the goverment have to change some educations for students.
