What is the longest time you have been away from home? Did you feel homesick?

I have been staying with my family after I was born. I even go to elementary school everyday with my mother because she was a librarian in the same school. But, because I had to go to university in Seoul, I began to live alone in Seoul. That was the first time when I have been away from home. I was depressed because of the changed mood. My house was always filled with my family\'s small talking and my dog welcomed me whenever I came back home. However, my house in Seoul was small,dark and silent. I realized I feel much loneliness than others. Especially, there were few friends around my house in Seoul because of covid-19. That\'s why I tried to go to my hometown twice a month. Next year, I will go to America as an exchange student and stay there about 5 months. It will be the longest time that I can\'t see my family. I am worried that I will get homesick. There is no one can help me and I can\'t visit my hometown whenever I want. I hope that I will adapt to the new circumstance.
