In my opinion, ‘Girl with a Pearl Earring’ by Johannes Jan Vermeer is the most beautiful painting in the world. A girl’s eyes give an impression of purity and innocense. Also, her blue turban is the fascinating factor attracts me because it arouses my curiosity that why did the author use ultranmarine color which was a very expensive paint at that time.

As soon as I read this answer, I Googles ‘Girl with a Pearl Earring’ by Johannes Jan Vermeer and saw a indeed a very innocent woman who does not have eyebrows. ^^ Well, an expensive paint was probably meant by the painter to express adoration or value to the head or the title of this lady on the painting to be an important person in society that time. Well, that is what I think and it may not be necessarity true.
