What is your favorite Thanksgiving memory?

A Thanksgiving Day and a New Year day is the two biggest holidays in Korea. Most people hit the road to go to their home towns. It is time for family members to get together and catch up how they have been doing. In addition, it is one of the big events for the whole family to prepare various foods, put them on the altar and bow twice as a sign of paying respect and appreciation to their ancestors on the early morning of the days. They also visit their ancestors’ graves on the same days. I have lived in Seoul since I went to high school, I used to visit my hometown as well. The most difficult thing to go to my hometown was to get a train or bus ticket. Because of the limited number of seats and excessive demand, there was a designated day for buying a ticker beforehand. I had to stay and wait in the line overnight at the train station or a bus terminal even before the ticket booth opened. Especially for the New Year holiday, I had to be shivering all night, waiting to buy the ticket.
