What is your opinion about actors or actresses who run for a position in politics?

I’m not supporting the idea that celebrities run for political positions like law makers, majors or city councilmen because most of them don’t have knowledge, experience, or even interest in lives of ordinary citizens. There have been and still are a lot of actors, actresses, singers, athletes, comedians, and once TV starts who turned to be politicians overnight. Most of them are motivated to engage in politics because of the people around him/her although he/she actually does not have or little interest in politics. Politics is just like drug. Once you taste it, you won’t quit. The power that politicians have is enormous and so influential that he/she might be deluded into thinking that he/she has everything and could do whatever he/she wants. The fundamental problem is that they don’t have basic knowledge or understating of what politics is for. Politics is to improve people’s wellbeing. They should be willing to make sacrifice for ordinary citizens. But they are not.
