We traditionally, we make and eat rice cakes called 송편(Songpyeon) on Thanksgiving Day. It is make to express thanks for harvest by adding autumn grains such as chestnuts and sesame seeds .. etc to the rice dough. In Korea, there is an interesting old saying that if you make songpyeon pretty, you will get married and have pretty children. Until I was young, I used to make various shapes at my grandparent\'s house in addition to the half-moon shape, but these days, many people buy them in store a lot.
