What kinds of jobs are in demand or mostly coveted by young job seekers in Korea?
학생이 쓴 원문
In Korea the job demanded by the market and coveted by young job seekers are identical which are tech related jobs. Not limited to software engineering, it spans data and cybersecurity jobs as many companies put effort into being a first mover in machine learning and artificial engineering fields. However, these jobs require a high level of knowledge and experience. Recently, there have been various vocational schools which offer short-term and highly intensive tech related courses. However, compared to the university graduate, those students lack a depth of knowledge and expertise, so they are marginalized in job market. For example, I saw many liberal arts graduates taking these courses to get a job in the small to mid-sized tech companies, but I never saw successful of getting a job. Since most open positions are tech related, many other universities graduate are failing to get a job. This trend is exacerbating the unemployment to 22.1% with those in their 20s.

Thank you for this Aciel. According to an article I read, 2025 shows the highest rate of unemployment among people in their late 20s. This was exacerbated by the COVID pandemic, and then the political turmoil that Korea experienced recently regarding the previous president\'s impeachment, which had led to instability in the job market. This has caused many foreign investors to hesitate to invest in the Korean market.
