What life lesson did you learn the hard way?

question When I have some concerns which are complicated, it becomes a huge burden for me to solve. ( why is it complicated? not ing) The most hard lesson that i have learned is on how i can be more confident. The most closest friend, family used to say to me that sometimes you should be need to be more selfish or not too be shy or polite. Ironically, I think in this world , someone who has own their shrewd thinking and opinion usually get a more chance than other people who are less likely to express their opinion. I know that we should have own our straight,good way of the meaning"stubborn" ideas to describe their opinion. But as for me, i am often afraid of talking to somethat what i really am thinking because of the thinking that i might hurt their feelings. So despite the same skills that i and my friend have, i sometimes miss the good opportunity because of my lacking in confidence.So ever since i've got shocked by the results,i've been trying to gain more confidence in my life.
