Being neutral diplomatically means not siding with one side, but balancing between two superpowers against each other. It’s a very practical way for a weak country to survive in cold international reality. Our country has had to take an ambiguous stance between two powerful nations, such as the Ming Dynasty and the Qing Dynasty, and China and Japan historically. As our ancestors got by these tricky situations wisely by being neutral, and not offending any side of superpowers as if on a single rope, so now we need to try to protect our nation by dealing wisely with these difficult situations.
