What would you say is the biggest challenge about living in a foreign country?
학생이 쓴 원문
The most challenging task would be culture. Especially, it is very demanding when it related to people. Before moving to London, I thought moving would be the most demanding part. This is because I heard various rumors about all the documents requested by landlords. Interestingly the most difficult part was managing relationships with both landlords and real estate agents. Since I am a foreigner who never lived or studied in London, forging a trust-based relationship was difficult. That was the reason why the landlord requested me more than 10 documents to prove my credibility. Also, I learned it is crucial to be polite at any time. Unlike in Asian countries, the whole step was too slow and not friendly to tenants, but I needed to hide my anxiety because there were several times landlords started to skip calls after complaining about whole steps. Throughout the experience, I learned that it is important not to apply my previous experiences in a new environment.

Thank you for this Aciel. I guess for landlords there in London, it is purely business. In addition, they know there will always be tenants looking for a place to stay so customer service or hospitality is not that significant. Anyway, it\'s good to know you are doing well there and getting the hang of everything. This is a great experience so might as well enjoy it to the fullest.
