When did you get your first cell phone?

I got my first cell phone, when I was an university student. I was very excited to have my own mobile phone for free. Even though I had to join their service plan for 2 years mandatorily. There were not many variation of cell phones in that time. But I was able to have cute, shiny and compact one. and I used it for more than one year and went to Taiwan for studing. When I came back to Korea, I continuously used it the rest of few months. As the technology of communications developed, I had another cell phone better to get the signal in everywhere, even underground. But the new one didn't look as cute as previous one.I didn't like it so much. Now I have my 4th smart phone which has multiple functions such as web surfing, listening to mp3 as well as watching TV. It looks cool, so that I cherish it all the time. The worst thing to have this cell phone is its bills once in a month.
