When I decided a important thing, What did you do and why did you do?

Dear [Name], Three years ago, I had a bad situition at my company. After promotion director of my company colleague, he want to leave company for me. I think he thought me as competitor. so I left company at that time. My age was in my late 40 years old. So it was very difficult to get a job again. But I thought, it was unhappy to keep the job and broken my pride of career. So I decide to leave company and I hoped my wife undersood me. my wife said, most of all keeping health was very important, took a time for me. It was very difficult time but now I have a chance to enter a global company as a sales director.
