When it comes to selling a product or service, you have to know your clients. Why is that?

Knowing the customer is essential because it enables me to grasp demand effectively. Listening to clients\' inquiries and understanding their business cycle helps me match clients\' interests with the service profile. Alongside this, understanding clients\' business model allows me to bring a unique way to navigate a strategy to improve the portfolio. As a data services analyst at Willis Towers Watson, my primary job was to gather rewards data during the survey season. Throughout the process, understanding the competition structure within each industry was critical. The reason is that many firms end up participating if they can gain benchmark data, usually from competitors, to retain and hire a talented workforce, even with privacy concerns. Accordingly, I started with background research for the targeted firm. Most importantly, I approached the client via cold-calling to listen to their thoughts about market trends. The information has allowed me to and increases the participation rate.
