People tend to dishonest when they are in a trouble. because they want to run away from loss or responsibility. For example, when a thief is caught , he/she want to be free and try to lie so that he can avoid this situation. I also lied When I was young especially in elementary school. because of forgetting homework, I was often scolded by my teacher. To avoid that situation, I said to teacher that I did homework but I didn't get it in my bag. but it is not good. Telling the truth is the best way to solve a problem. the best way to avoid embarrassing situation is don't let make matter worse. and try your best
