When I meet someone who is younger than me first, If he says “안녕(Hi)” to greet with waving his hand, It’s very rude greeting in Korea. It can make me feel bad.
In Korea, proper greeting in this situation is to use “안녕하세요” with bowing.
As you know there are many expressions for greeting in my country. And their use is different depending on the situations.
That’s why if you use improper expression for greeting, people can think that you’re a rude and impolite person.
