The death penalty is more severe than life imprisonment because the capital punishment is the ultimate sentence the modern judicial system can impose. In the ancient society, there was a punishment that could hand down to the criminal’s family or relatives. However, in the modern society, taking the life of the criminal is the heaviest and the most severe punishment. The imprisonment for life is also severe, however, at least he/she does not need to worry about being executed. He/she can still dream of and actually try to achieve something in the prison, although there are some constraints. He/she can learn and even finish bachelor’s or even higher degrees. If he/she is fortunate, he/she could be granted a special amnesty. However, the death penalty doesn’t give any second chance. Once it is executed, the life cannot be recovered. This is why many human rights advocates support abolishing the capital punishment. A human is capable of adapting himself/herself to a new environment.

Perfect composition, Sir [이름]!

Happy Tuesday. ^^ I am so happy that you sent a composition.

Yes, you are right. Death penalty is more severe.

I think I can lessen crimes. ^.^

But there are a lot of people who are against it.

Why do you think so?

We can talk more about this in class.

Have a good day.
