They have the enhanced social welfare systems so that people can live decent lives after retirement with less financial or medical worries. The pension system is also relatively well planned and implemented compared to under-developed countries, so people can relax and enjoy their retirement life without being pressed for money. Of course, they might have contributed a lot to their pension fund while working. Almost all countries are facing the same problem of aging society these days. People live longer than before and need more money after retirement. This makes even developed countries overhaul their pension and welfare programs for the elderly because the pension fund is getting depleted due to more beneficiaries than contributors and not enough budget for welfare programs.
