Why are poor people in many cases more generous than rich people?

Although it is not always the case, there is a tendency that many rich people are stingy. They are very cautious when spending money especially when they became rich through their own effort without inheriting a fortune from their parents. They are willing to spend their time and energy to cut down price when buying even a small thing. They are not afraid of losing their face to save even a penny.They are well aware how hard it is to make money and to keep it or to grow their wealth. That is why some rich people do not know how important it is to spend money well.They focus too much on making money and less care about spending. Whereas, although we cannot generalize, some poor people are more generous than rich people because they might have experienced or been experiencing difficulties of not having enough, so they can understand hardships that others are experiencing financially or even emotionally.It depends on what kind of person you are regardless of whether you're rich or not.
