Why is gender equality important?

Wow, this composition is very factual.

We have the same stereotype in the Philippines.

Women are more suited to be nurses and men are more suited to be architects and engineers.

But like you, I disagree, I believe that it won\'t matter what your gender is, as long as you have the passion to be something, push for it! ^^

I think everyone can be what they want to be unless someone tells them they will not be.

 I wanted to be an architect at the age of 14, but my mother said that being an architect as a woman could be challenging than doing it as a man.

 So I changed my mind to become a nurse which people usually feel as a feminine job.

 The important thing is that I sometimes have a hard time, because I am still attached to being an architect.

 If people don\'t distinguish professions by gender, and gave me an advice with gender equality, I could find my own way by myself without any regret.
