A growing number of younger generations are drastically shifting their lifestyles due to climate-related concerns. Many people begin by stopping the use of disposable containers or taking more eco-friendly or less carbon-intensive options during their travel. On the other hand, some people change their diet to a plant-based or flexitarian diet to reduce their carbon footprint. Also, some radical activists elevate the level of conscious consumption a step further to boycotting every purchase, which can impact the environment, such as activists raiding department stores in Paris to throw away all the butter made from cows that originally belong to the cattle. I won’t drastically change my lifestyle for climate reasons, even though I work in a sustainability-related field. This is because I can shift my lifestyle slightly and don’t want a particular agenda to dominate my life. Alongside this, there are many other things I need to consider beyond climate change.
