In many cases, we do not have an idea where tax payers’ money is used. Is our money used properly and in a discreet manner? Is there any waste? The second issue is whether others pay taxes just like me. For most employees, our wallet is transparent and cannot hide our income. Thus the government withdraws taxes from our income every month. Whereas many high income self-employed people or conglomerates have been evading taxes by hiding their income or by establishing a company in a tax haven. We often here about tax related corruptions. When it is ensured that our money is used at a right place and for a right people, we would be more cooperative in paying higher taxes.
