A year after I started my career at the automobile company right after graduating from college, I studied and applied for another company which is number one or two electronic company in the world. I had to go through 4 or 5 interviews one by one in series to reach the final stage of getting a hiring notice from the company. Unlike other countries, there is an official recruiting window only once a year for the young college graduates by many big conglomerates in Korea. If you fail once, then you have to wait another year. If you fail twice or more, your chances of getting hired becomes almost zero. Back then and still now, it was definitely all youth’s dream to work for the company. If you are an employee of the company, you could be regarded as a successful person in the society. In short, after I passed all the exams and interviews, I was supposed to attend the orientation secession, which was the first day at the company. In the morning of the first day, I was at a crossroad.
