I think Korean keep Korea official language before all countries use English for their official languages. Korean has big pride of their culture. Furthermore, Korea has painful history which was taken away country from Japan. Since that history, we always keep our culture such as land, food and language.

Thank you for this Robin. A lot of countries have adapted English as another official language in their country since it can make them go global or international. Just like Philippines, we have our own mother tongue which is Filipino or Tagalog, but we also recognize English as the second official language in our country.
