I agree with your statement "Parents are the best teachers" I'm growing with my parents for 27 years. So, my parents affect to me for personality or habits. Sometimes, I am surprise to my behavior or turn of words that resemble with my parents. There are some problem child in elementary school or middle school. In that case, substantialy their family have a problem. We have a proverb in Korea in following "never drink cold water in front of the kids". This means that every kids are follow up every adults.
